Christians Against Poverty

Christians Against Poverty – CAP

John Kirkby started Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in 1996 and Stockton Baptist Church has been partnering with this international organisation since 2015.

14 million people in the UK are living in poverty.  Let’s end UK poverty together.

CAP’s services include Debt Help; we offer practical advice to live well on a low income through CAP Life Skills groups, as well as supporting people stepping into employment through CAP Job Clubs and Money coaching.

Through a UK-wide network of CAP projects, CAP has a vision of transformed lives, thriving churches and an end to UK poverty.
