Sew ‘n’ Sews fellowship group

From small acorns…

Hazel says: “The Sew and Sews group started over ten years ago, when a few of our Church members asked me to teach them to make patchwork quilts. I quickly realised there was a real desire to learn to sew, and a need for a regular meeting.

Within five years, this small class had produced enough patchwork quilts to put on an exhibition in the Church Hall!”

“Over the years the type of sewing I have taught has expanded with the needs of the class. We still sew a lot of patchwork, but also bags, wall hanging and seasonal gifts. We are always open to new ideas, and we love a challenge! This is a very friendly, caring class which provides encouragement and support for each other.”

The group is always heavily subscribed, so if you’d like to join or find out more, please contact Hazel using the form below (or via Hazel’s contact details in ChurchSuite).
